Interest Groups

Interest groups can be created by any U3A member on all manner of topics when members offer to co-ordinate them. Since membership numbers fluctuate in each group, confirm any current vacancies via U3A email.

U3A encourages the formation of new interest groups by Members.

Groups have covered vege gardening, ethnic cuisine, music appreciation, economics, the causes of violence and more. Groups usually meet in homes, with up to 15 participants, while the art appreciation group often visits artists in their studios or at exhibitions. During the winter when lectures aren’t held, there’s usually a literature or history group.
