Study Groups

Study groups form on all manner of topics when members offer to co-ordinate them, and are a wonderful way of learning together, sharing knowledge and forming friendships.

Groups have covered vege gardening, ethnic cuisine, music appreciation, economics, the causes of violence, Othello and more. Groups usually meet in homes, with up to 15 participants, while the art appreciation group often visits artists in their studios or at exhibitions. During the winter when lectures aren’t held, there’s usually a literature or history group.

A longstanding music group has presented a concert of extraordinary and delightful audio and video performances at our AGM each year.

Both the music and art groups are fully subscribed but anyone interested in starting a new one is most welcome to float the idea and see who else is interested.
